Formed in 1998, Grand Marquis has since become solidly rooted in the Kansas City music scene as one of the hardest-working bands in the region, playing over 100 shows per year! The group has performed from coast to coast, released 8 albums, including a 7" 45 rpm vinyl record/CD combo recorded at the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis, TN. With their own versatile and thoroughly entertaining brand of American Roots, Blues and Prohibition-Era Jazz, the Grand Marquis are consistently finding themselves in high demand.
The Fred Wickham Caravan was originally formed to support the release of former Hadacol frontman Fred Wickham's solo release,Mariosa Delta, hailed by No Depressionas “a great record, part document, part tragedy, all heartbreak.” Mixing up its own gumbo of country, rock and roll, jazz, bluegrass, R&B and blues, the Caravan features an all-star lineup of some of Kansas City's best musicians, including Wickham's former Hadacol bandmate and musical compadre, bassist Richard Burgess, pedal steel and electric guitar wizard Marco Pascolini, ace keyboardist/vocalist Bart Colliver, Kansas City’s sweetest drummer, Matt Brahl and Wickham's son Fred Jr. on mandolin. The band is currently recording a new album in Muscle Shoals, Alabama which is scheduled to be released early next year.
